Intro to Pistol

Course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely. The minimum age limit is 16 yrs. old and must be accompanied by an adult. No FOID card is needed to attend this class. This course is 4 hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and/or semi-automatic pistols. Students learn rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; two handed standing positions; and continued opportunities for skill development. This fee includes use of firearm and ammo (22 caliber, only).

Intermediate Pistol Course

This course is designed to take you from a shooter to a marksman. You will increase your accuracy and shoot smaller groups by analyzing your targets and correcting your aim.
Learn to diagnose and handle common malfunctions most shooters encounter on the range, working to obtain a trouble free experience every time you shoot.
Grasp the skills needed to reload, distinguish between sighted fire vs, natural point and proper trigger time.
** Intro to Pistol is not required but highly suggested. This class is not for beginners but more designed for students looking to be more proficient with their firearm.

Required Equipment:

  • Any pistol in good working condition
  • Min of 100 rounds
  • Ear and eye protection
  • Min, of 2 magazines or speed loader

We will discuss and PRACTICE skills to prepare you for you next step Defensive Pistol 1.

TARGET SHOOTING

Increase your accuracy and shoot smaller groups by analyzing your targets and correcting your aim. You will fire 100 rounds of ammo with a pistol at a paper target on the range. This class is great for new shooters, but there’s plenty for experienced shooters to learn

Class Length: 2 hours
Pre-requisite: Intro to Pistol, Defensive Pistol or equivalent
Equipment Needed:
  • Any pistol in good working condition
  • Minimum of 100 rounds of ammunition
  • Ear and Eye Protection
TROUBLE SHOOTING

An Access Code is needed to register for the course.
Students will receive this code ONLY after successful completion of the Target Shooting Class.
In this class, you’ll learn how to reload and rack the slide easily, and clear common malfunctions most shooters encounter on the range. Learn how to have a trouble-free experience every time you come to the range. You will be firing a minimum of 50 rounds of ammo at a paper target on the range.

Class Length: 2 hours
Prerequisite: Intro to Pistol, Target Shooting, Defensive Pistol or equivalent
Required Equipment
  • Any pistol in good working condition
  • Minimum of 50 rounds of ammunition
  • Ear and Eye Protection
RAPID FIRE

Students will receive this code ONLY after successful completion of the Trouble Shooting Class.
So you have shooting down pat, but you want to improve your speed while keeping your accuracy? This course is perfect to help sharpen your skills and prepare you for shooting under a clock. After this class, you’ll impress your friends and family on the lanes with fast, tight shot groups. You will be firing 100 rounds with your pistol at a paper target on the range.

Class Length: 2 hours
Prerequisite: Trouble Shooting, Defensive Pistol or equivalent
Required Equipment:  
  • Any pistol in good working condition
  • Minimum of 100 rounds of ammunition
  • Ear and Eye Protection
  • Minimum of 2 Magazines
  • Mag Pouch - optional
HOLSTER DRAW

Students will receive this code ONLY after successful completion of the Rapid Fire Class.
Let’s get out of the booth and have some fun with a gun by learning how to draw from a holster. This class is designed for everyone thinking of getting into competition or carrying for self-defense. You will learn how to safely and quickly draw from a holster and get on target. Range drills in this class will get your heart pumping!

Course Length: 3 hours
Prerequisite: Rapid Fire, Defensive Pistol or equivalent experience
Required Equipment:
  • Any pistol in good working condition
  • Minimum of 100 rounds of ammunition
  • Ear and Eye Protection
  • Minimum of 2 Magazines
  • Holster
